Cupping Therapy

what is cupping

Cupping is an Ancient form of Chinese Medicine that has been used for centuries. It works by suctioning of the skin muscle and fascia to boost detoxification, treat pain, heal tissue, and improve circulation.

When cups are placed into the skin, it creates a negative suction lifting skin up and away from injured area. If used as fire cups, it will give a nice warm sensation. Cupping feels healing, soothing, and relaxing, almost like a massage.

Cupping works by increasing blood flow to a specific area causing deep tissue healing, detoxification of inflammation and pathogens, relief of muscle tension, and an overall blood flow.

It removes toxins and old stagnant blood away from muscle layer and fascia, moving it up to the surface of the skin and out of the body. It replaces old stagnant blood with healthy oxygenated blood flow to the tissues and cells. It can also treat cough, and decongestion from common colds.

The cupping marks will disappear after a few days, depending how stagnant the blood is. The darker the circles, the more stagnant that specific area was.
